Tastes of St Martin’s Day with GASTexpo

Dear exhibitors and visitors,

The time to enjoy fine wines, a variety of drinks and delicious food is around the corner – St Martin's Day.

The vineyards are in full bloom and the must is transformed into 'real' wine on St Martin's Day.

As well as new wines, reds from younger vintages such as blue pinot, blue franc and velvet black are particularly popular. They are an excellent accompaniment to traditional dishes.

But don't forget the non-alcoholic wines that allow everyone to enjoy the flavours of St Martin’s Day.


You can also serve spirits or cocktails to spice up the feast, such as gin, herb liqueur and sweet vermouth, or vodka, coffee liqueur and pumpkin puree.

Dessert is the icing on the cake that turns a meal into a complete culinary experience – it can be ice cream even on colder days.

Stefano Marinucci, top chef, well-known face on Italian television and head chef at the renowned Carpigiani Gelato University, impressed at the last show with his rose wine and prosecco ice cream.

The technique of making ice from wine is very complex and few people have mastered it. Once again, this year, Stefano Marinucci will be at GASTexpo to offer his exquisite ice cream specialities.
