The Easter holidays are coming up, and with them a long weekend, which will take many people to a hotel for a break or to a restaurant for dinner.
We've put together some ideas for caterers and hoteliers.
1. Easter breakfast
- Offer different types of breakfast on trays or in baskets, with an emphasis on traditional Easter dishes. Play around and make mini potica, horseradish cakes, egg spread on toast or mini ham in dough.
- You can also make special 'decorated' coffees with chocolate or accompaniments, or teas with a hint of spring flavours.
2. Easter menu
- Create a special three-course or multi-course menu with Easter dishes such as lamb, ham, minced meat, horseradish, potica and a variety of salads.
- Provide an aesthetically pleasing presentation, perhaps in the form of a nest or with accessories that evoke spring flowers.
3. Easter cocktails
- Make special Easter-themed cocktails such as the “Spring Mimosa” or the “Easter Cocktail”.
- Use fresh ingredients such as strawberries, mint and freshly squeezed orange juice.
- You can also make a non-alcoholic punch with fruit juice and tea, which is easy to top up when you run out.
4. Decoration and atmosphere
- Decorate your restaurant or hotel with flowers, spring colours and Easter bunnies, eggs and chocolate treats. Kitchen inventory should be spring colours.
- Perhaps you could also organise a music event to create a nice atmosphere.
5. Special offer for children
- Set up a children's corner with special activities such as painting Easter eggs, making Easter decorations or Egg hunt in the neighbourhood.
The combination of delicious dishes and attractive decorations will give your guests an unforgettable Easter experience.
